Mujeeb Ur Rahman Joins Mumbai Indians as Replacement for Injured Allah Ghazanfar

Mumbai Indians (MI) have signed Afghan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman to replace Allah Ghazanfar, who is out of IPL 2025 due to a lower back fracture. Ghazanfar's injury also sidelines him from the Champions Trophy. Mujeeb, a right-arm off-spinner, has played 19 IPL matches, taking 19 wickets. The 23-year-old Mujeeb debuted in the IPL at 17 and has played over 300 T20 games, securing nearly 330 wickets with an economy of around 6.5. MI acquired Ghazanfar for Rs 4.8 crore in the IPL mega auction. Mujeeb joins MI for INR 2 Crore.
