Navi Mumbai's Quantum Leap: ₹5,685 Crore Supercharged Budget Revealed!

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) approved a ₹5,709.95 crore 2025-26 budget of which ₹5,684.95 crore is for expenditure. The budget has been placed with the vision to improve the livability index and overall development of the city in key sectors. NMMC Commissioner Kailas Shinde made it clear that no new taxes were imposed, with a vision to improve public welfare. The civic body has the goal to generate more revenue by getting more properties into the tax net. Areas of priority are development of infrastructure, financial reform, generation of employment, quality education, improved transport, improvement of healthcare, and sustainable water management. The budget has the goal to make Navi Mumbai a premier development hub, riding on the forthcoming international airport.
