Aadhaar Powers Digital India: 225 Cr Authentications, 43 Cr e-KYC Transactions in February

India's Aadhaar infrastructure is still leading the nation's digital revolution, with over 225 crore authentication transactions in February 2025, a 14% year-on-year increase. Additionally, 43 crore e-KYK transactions were performed in the month, reflecting the importance of Aadhaar in enabling transparency and making services easier in sectors.

The face authentication feature driven by AI achieved an all-time high of 12.54 crore transactions in a month, indicating its increasing use in finance, healthcare, and telecom. Almost 550 entities use Aadhaar authentication services on a daily basis, averaging more than nine crore authentications.

This surge proves the increasing importance of Aadhaar in offering citizen-oriented services efficiently as well as advancing financial inclusion and ease of business. As India turns digital, Aadhaar remains at the core of its evolution.
