ACME Solar Powers Up: Final Phase of 60 MW Bikaner Project Goes Live

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has announced the commissioning of the final phase of its 60 MW solar power project at Bikaner, Rajasthan, marking a significant step toward fully operationalizing its 300 MW Sikar Solar Power Project. This milestone further strengthens ACME Solar’s position as one of India’s key renewable energy players.

  • Project Details: The ACME Sikar Solar Power Project is located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, an area known for its high solar irradiation. The project spans about 1,300 acres, making it one of the region’s major solar installations
  • Commissioning Milestones: With the latest 60 MW phase, ACME Solar has now commissioned a total of 240 MW out of the planned 300 MW for the Sikar project. The remaining 60 MW is in the final stages of commissioning, bringing the project close to full capacity.
  • Operational Capacity: The company’s total operational renewable energy capacity has now reached 2,806.4 MW, reflecting its rapid growth and execution capabilities.
  • Clean Energy Impact: Once fully operational, the Sikar project is expected to generate approximately 780 million units of clean energy annually, contributing significantly to India’s renewable energy targets.
  • Power Evacuation: The generated power is pooled at inverter stations and delivered to the Bikaner-II grid using a dedicated 220 kV transmission line, ensuring efficient evacuation and grid integration.
  • Commercial Utilization: Power from the commissioned phases is currently being sold on power exchanges at merchant tariffs, with a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) expected to be signed soon.
  • Financing: The project is financed by PFC Limited, underlining strong institutional support for ACME Solar’s renewable initiatives.
