Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is partially operational again after being shut down due to the Air India Flight AI171 crash. The London-bound Boeing 787 went down shortly after takeoff, crashing in the Meghani Nagar area.

The airport spokesperson confirmed that limited flights are now running, but full operations will take time to restore. Emergency teams are still working at the crash site, and investigators are analyzing the black box data to determine what went wrong.

The crash has shaken the aviation industry. IndiGo and SpiceJet have issued travel advisories, offering rebooking and refunds for affected passengers. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is leading the investigation, with Boeing expected to assist.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu have assured full government support for rescue efforts. Officials are urging travelers to check flight schedules before heading to the airport, as disruptions are expected to continue.
