Ajanta Pharma Ltd has made a major expansion plan, investing ₹92 crore to incorporate a liquid formulation facility at its Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh. The move is aimed at increasing the manufacturing capacity of the company as well as the product portfolio.

The expansion is part of Ajanta Pharma's ongoing efforts to consolidate its manufacturing facilities in India. The company has seven state-of-the-art plants, including Paithan, Guwahati, and Dahej, with the Pithampur facility specializing in tablets and capsules.
The new liquid formulation capability will be able to expand Ajanta's product line and drive its expansion in both domestic and foreign markets, where it is present in more than 30 countries.
