Alpex Solar Ltd has bagged a major order worth ₹2.3 billion from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the supply of advanced solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. The order will be fulfilled through Alpex’s upgraded manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, reinforcing its role in India’s renewable energy expansion.

Key Highlights:

The ₹2.3 billion order includes the supply of high-efficiency monocrystalline and polycrystalline PV modules for SECI’s nationwide solar projects.

Alpex will execute the order within nine months, leveraging its 1.2 GW module production capacity.

The modules will be deployed across SECI’s clean energy infrastructure initiatives, supporting India’s 500 GW non-fossil fuel target by 2030.

Operational Context:

The Greater Noida facility has recently undergone capacity expansion, enabling faster delivery timelines and higher output quality.

Alpex’s modules are designed for grid-scale solar parks and agricultural applications, including solar water pumps under government schemes.

The company has also announced plans to set up a 1.6 GW solar cell manufacturing unit in Mathura, with phase one expected by October 2025.

Strategic Outlook:

This order strengthens Alpex’s position as a key supplier to public sector undertakings and aligns with its goal of deeper integration in the solar value chain.

Analysts expect the deal to boost revenue visibility and support margin expansion through economies of scale and backward integration.
