The Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun witnessed a momentous occasion as the Passing Out Parade (POP) for the Spring Term 2025 was conducted on June 14, 2025. The event marked the commissioning of 451 cadets, including 419 Indian cadets and 32 foreign cadets from friendly nations, into their respective armies.
 
Prestigious Awards:
  • Sword of Honour: Academy Cadet Adjutant Anni Nehra.
  • Gold Medal: Academy Under Officer Ronit Ranjan Nayak (First in Order of Merit).
  • Silver Medal: Academy Cadet Adjutant Anni Nehra (Second in Order of Merit).
  • Bronze Medal: Battalion Under Officer Anurag Verma (Third in Order of Merit).
  • Foreign Cadet Medal: Officer Cadet Nishan Balami (Nepal).
  • Reviewing Officer: Lieutenant General BKGM Lasantha Rodrigo, Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, inspected the parade and presented medals to topperforming cadets.
  • Chief of Army Staff Banner: Keren Company was awarded the prestigious banner for standing first among 12 companies.
  • Legacy: Since its establishment in 1932, the IMA has trained over 65,000 cadets, including officers from 34 friendly nations.
The parade showcased precision, discipline, and military excellence, reinforcing IMA’s legacy as a premier institution for shaping future military leaders.
