Astra Microwave JV bags ₹275.27 crore Indian Air Force order

Astra Microwave Products Ltd has disclosed that Astra Rafael Comsys Pvt Ltd, its joint venture company, has received a major order worth ₹275.27 crore (including taxes) from the Indian Air Force. The contract, awarded on January 8, 2026, involves advanced communication system integration and procurement aimed at strengthening India’s air combat capabilities.

The scope includes integration of Software Defined Radios (SDRs) on MiG-29 aircraft, installation of Network Centric Applications (NCO) on MiG-29 platforms, and procurement of 24 SDR units for Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk-1A. The project is expected to be executed within 12 months, reinforcing Astra’s positioning in defense electronics and tactical communication solutions.
