Bank Holidays Alert: Shimla & Gangtok to See 3-Day Closures Next Week

Banks in Shimla and Gangtok will remain closed for three days next week due to Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti and the weekend holidays, as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar. The closures will occur on:
June 11 (Wednesday) – Observing Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti, honoring the mystic poet Kabir Das.
June 14 (Saturday) – Banks shut nationwide for the second Saturday of the month.
June 15 (Sunday) – Regular Sunday closure across India.
While physical banking services will be unavailable, online banking, UPI transactions, and ATM withdrawals will remain fully operational. Customers can still access NEFT/RTGS transfers, demand drafts, and card services during the holiday period.
