Behind the Numbers: NMDC's March Production and Sales—A Story of Resilience

NMDC has published its provisional production and sales numbers for March 2025, giving an insight into the performance of the company. NMDC's iron ore production in March was 3.55 million tonnes (MT), which was marginally lower than 4.86 MT in March 2024. Sales in March, however, were strong at 4.21 MT, up from 3.96 MT in March 2024.

 

At the regional level, Chhattisgarh came out strong with 2.49 MT production and 2.72 MT sales for the month of March. Karnataka too fared well, with production coming in at 1.06 MT and sales at 1.49 MT. Cumulatively for the year until March 2025, NMDC's overall production stood at 44.04 MT, with sales coming in at 44.40 MT, remaining close to last year's numbers.
