BEL registered a record turnover of ₹230 billion, beating its performance last year and demonstrating strong growth in both local and export markets. BEL's order book now totals a whopping ₹716.50 billion as of April 1, 2025, indicating its firm grip on the defence and aerospace markets.
Important milestones include winning major orders for cutting-edge radar systems, electronic voting machines, simulators, navigation systems, and communication equipment. Significantly, BEL has won a recent ₹2,463 crore order for Ashwini Radars for the Indian Air Force, showing its strength in indigenous technology development. These radars have the latest 4D surveillance and electronic counter-countermeasure features.
BEL's performance is in sync with India's "Make in India" mission, focusing on indigenization and cooperation with DRDO. The increasing export sales of the company also reflect its global competitiveness.
