Bengal Secures Five Major Gains In Budget Under Purvodaya Vision

Freight And Connectivity Boost  
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an East-West Dedicated Freight Corridor from Dankuni in Hooghly to Surat in Gujarat. This corridor will reduce logistics costs and improve cargo movement, positioning Bengal as a stronger industrial hub.
