Following India’s triumphant victory in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, fast bowler Renuka Singh Thakur and batter Kranti Gaud have received Rs 1 crore cash prizes from their respective state governments—Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The awards celebrate their pivotal roles in securing India’s maiden women’s World Cup title.
Renuka Singh, hailing from Rohru in Himachal Pradesh, was praised for her consistent bowling and match-winning spells.
