In an initiative to empower Indian archers, the Archery Association of India (AAI) has partnered with Amity University Online to offer flexible academic pathways in accordance with the unique requirements of sportspersons. The initiative is aimed at filling the gap between sporting achievement and academic development.

Major Developments

Senior, junior, and para-archers can now train and compete without derailing their postgraduate and undergraduate education.

The pact was signed in the presence of AAI President Arjun Munda and Delhi BJP President and AAI General Secretary.

Amity University will offer flexible attendance and online examination courses to suit individual requirements.

Scholarship Organization: CHAMPs Program

100% waiver of fee for international-level archers

50% scholarship for state players

30% support for local-level candidates

These awards guarantee that monetary limitations do not dissuade academic aspirations.

Other Support Measures

Individualized academic advising for registered archers

Free Sports Psychology certification to enhance mental toughness

Personalized curriculum designed to accommodate hectic training schedules

Why It Matters

This move addresses the perennial issue of athletes who are likely to drop out of mainstream schooling because of rigorous sports schedules. In combining academic flexibility with funding, AAI and Amity University are setting the stage for balanced athlete development.
