Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s Chhaava is dominating the box office, with early estimates indicating a massive ₹46.44 crore on Day 3, pushing the total collection to ₹114.44 crore. The historical drama, directed by Laxman Utekar, is witnessing phenomenal growth, particularly in Maharashtra, where morning occupancy rates reached an “unbelievable” 85-90%.
The film opened with ₹28.50 crore on Day 1 and continued strongly with ₹34 crore on Day 2. Chhaava has become Vicky Kaushal’s fastest film to enter the ₹100 crore club and is already his second-highest-grossing movie.
Chhaava has also beaten Pushpa 2 Hindi’s record in the MovieMax chain by grossing ?2.03 crore. Given its performance, Chhaava is expected to maintain a strong hold during the weekdays and has the potential to become the biggest hit of Vicky Kaushal’s career.
Positive word-of-mouth and strong reviews are helping the film maintain momentum. Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical digital streaming rights.
