Chidambaranar (VOC) Port in Tamil Nadu by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. This clean fuel will be utilized to power streetlights and an electric vehicle (EV) charging station within the VOC port colony, significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

Sarbananda Sonowal also laid foundation for a ₹35.34 crore green methanol bunkering and refuelling facility with 750 m³ capacity, enhancing the port’s role in the upcoming Coastal Green Shipping Corridor.
