The Pivot That Sparked a Revolution

Kumar’s decision wasn’t impulsive—it was inspired by a shared vision with Vijay Arisetty, a Shaurya Chakra awardee and ex-IAF pilot, and Shreyans Daga, an IIT Guwahati and ISB alumnus.
In 2016, the trio co-founded MyGate, a Bengaluru-based app designed to digitize and streamline residential security and community operations.
Kumar spent weeks working 12-hour shifts as a security guard to understand pain points firsthand, blending empathy with innovation.

MyGate began as a digital gatekeeping solution and evolved into a full-fledged community operating system.
It now handles over 720,000 requests per minute, has processed 6 billion entries, and resolved 6 million+ service tickets across 25,000 housing societies.
