Delhi continues to struggle with severe air pollution, maintaining its position as India's second most polluted city for the fourth consecutive month in January 2025. The Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) reports that Delhi recorded an average PM2.5 concentration of 165 micrograms per cubic metre last month. The city experienced 23 days of "very poor" air quality, with three days reaching "severe" levels. This ongoing environmental crisis raises serious concerns about public health and quality of life in the national capital.
