DP World and Reliance Industries have partnered to introduce a groundbreaking rail solution, connecting Reliance's Jamnagar plant in Gujarat to DP World's inland container depot (ICD) in Ahmedabad and onward to the port of Mundra. This new route replaces road transport with rail, significantly reducing carbon emissions and enhancing operational efficiency. The integrated rail service can transport up to 1,260 tonnes of cargo, consolidating up to 45 containers per movement. This shift not only supports Reliance's sustainability goals but also streamlines logistics and reduces transportation costs. The partnership is part of a long-term contract aimed at expanding capacity and meeting Reliance's growing logistics needs.
