Eighty & Esteemed: PM Modi, Leaders Extend Warm Wishes to Kerala CM

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan marked his 80th birthday on May 24, 2025, with a deluge of greetings from national leaders, colleagues, and well-wishers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi set the tone for the tributes with a message on X: "Birthday greetings to Kerala CM Shri Pinarayi Vijayan Ji. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life.".
 
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also wished warmly, hailing Vijayan for standing firm on progressive government along with being instrumental in raising the stature of state relations. Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar visited Vijayan's official bungalow to wish him in person along with family members and close cabinet colleagues.
 
While celebrating a milestone, Vijayan continued his official work in subdued celebratory fashion. The birthday follows closely on the heels of the fourth anniversary of his second term in office, and both his critics and loyalists have acknowledged his leadership during crisis management by weathering floods, the pandemic, and political crises.
 
Social media was filled with wishes and accolades from political leaders, actors, and citizens alike, celebrating Vijayan's legacy as Kerala's longest-serving chief minister.
