Ester Industries Ltd has taken a major leap in sustainability by signing a multi-year agreement to supply eco-friendly polyester resin to Nike, the global leader in athletic footwear and apparel. The supply will originate from the Infinite Loop™ India manufacturing facility, a joint venture between Ester Industries and Loop Industries.
This partnership focuses on Twist™, a virgin-quality polyester resin manufactured exclusively from textile waste. The facility, once operational, is projected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 81%, saving upwards of 418,600 tonnes of CO₂ annually. All products using Twist™ feature proprietary traceability technology to verify their recycled content, affirming the authenticity of sustainable sourcing.
Mr. Arvind Singhania, Chairman of Ester Industries, underscored the significance of this deal, saying it reflects multinational brands’ trust in ELITe’s ability to scale high-performance recycled materials. Nike is positioned as the anchor customer, showcasing its determination to embed sustainability in its product line, setting a benchmark for the athletic wear industry.
