Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced the launch of a FASTag-based annual pass for private vehicles, priced at Rs 3,000. The initiative aims to simplify toll payments and enhance highway travel efficiency across India. The pass will be valid for one year from the date of activation or up to 200 trips, whichever comes first.

- The pass is designed exclusively for non-commercial private vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans
- It will allow seamless travel across National Highways without repeated toll deductions or multiple top-ups
- The policy addresses concerns regarding toll plazas located within a 60-km range, reducing congestion and disputes
- A dedicated link for activation and renewal will be available on the Rajmarg Yatra App and the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH
