French Envoy Champions Stronger Indo-French Alliance on Climate, Culture & Innovation

During her maiden trip to India from May 14-16, Anne Grillo, Director General for Global Affairs of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, emphasized strengthening cooperation between India and France on climate resilience, culture, education, and innovation. Co-chairing the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) session along with Dr. P.K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India, Grillo emphasized the need for building climate-resilient infrastructure to ensure a future. The visit further advanced preparations for India-France Year of Innovation 2026 and cultural projects like the Yuga Yugeen Bharat National Museum. Grillo emphasized France's status as a world leader in global action on climate, such as hosting the upcoming CDRI international conference in June. The visit concluded with Grillo's keynote address at France Alumni Day 2025, on employment and leadership among women, highlighting people-to-people relations as a corner stone of this strategic alliance.
