Viking Cruises is making headlines with its latest news: launching its very first river cruises in India, in late 2027 aboard its newly constructed Viking Brahmaputra. This new venture is a ground-breaking move into South Asia, with passengers having the opportunity to take a journey far into India's northeast.

Viking introduces its first river cruises in India as Viking Brahmaputra navigates the powerful Brahmaputra River from Guwahati to Nimati Ghat in Assam.
 
Custom-Built Ship: The new vessel will have 80 passengers in 40 outside staterooms, all with Viking styling, floor-to-ceiling glass doors, private verandas, spa, fitness center, and a Sky Bar.
 
Wonders of India Itinerary: The 15-day "Wonders of India" tour package includes an eight-night river cruise and escorted land tours in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, overnighting in each of these cities.
 
Cultural Immersion: There are 13 outings with the visitors visiting a maximum of 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Taj Mahal, Jaipur's Palace of Winds, and vibrant lanes of Old Delhi.
 
Wildlife and Nature: The tour features wildlife activities at Kaziranga National Park—home to the fabled one-horned rhino—and visits to Majuli, the second-largest river-island in the world.
