From Stage Queen to Demon Mom: Shobana Joins the Ramayana Saga as Kaikasi

Malayalam cinema icon and National Award-winning actress Shobana joins the star-studded cast of Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated Ramayana film, releasing in two parts in Diwali 2026 and 2027. Shobana will play Kaikasi, the mother of powerful Ravana, who will be played by Yash.

 

Spreading her excitement on social media, Shobana called it an honour to be a part of a story that has captivated generations, sharing the teaser of the film and admiring the epic's longevity.
