GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, a major part of Essar's green mobility initiative, has come out with a plan to introduce 1,000 Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) trucks into its fleet by March 2025. This foray is also in line with India's target to go net-zero by 2070 with a focus to decarbonize logistics and limit dependence on diesel. With over 500 LNG trucks already operational, this will place GreenLine as a major provider of clean logistics solutions.
In the meantime, Morocco is becoming a world leader in sustainable mobility. During the Green Impact Expo & Summit 2025, the kingdom announced plans to buy 7,000 electric buses and upgrade its tramway networks in Rabat and Casablanca. These projects will revolutionize public transport while enhancing urban green regeneration. Morocco is also planning to become part of a select few countries with the capacity for full electric vehicle production based on its natural resources such as phosphate and cobalt.
These advances reflect an international movement toward cleaner, greener transport systems that emphasize environmental responsibility and innovation.
