Andhra Pradesh has requested ₹280.9 crore from the central government to enhance sports infrastructure across its cities. State Sports Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy met with Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to discuss this proposal, aiming to establish and upgrade sports facilities statewide. This initiative aligns with the Andhra Pradesh Sports Policy 2024, which focuses on providing top-tier infrastructure and fostering athletic development. The state has previously received ₹21.91 crore under the Khelo India Scheme for sports infrastructure development.
