Genesys International has launched India’s first 3D subsurface mapping solution, backed by a prestigious global award, to map underground utilities at key Adani Group airports using advanced ground‑penetrating radar and LiDAR technologies. The project strengthens India’s digital infrastructure push and showcases local leadership in next‑generation geospatial solutions.
Project overview
Genesys will conduct the country’s first 3D Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey across multiple Adani-owned airports, including Mumbai, Trivandrum, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati and Ahmedabad. The data will feed detailed 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) outputs, enabling airports to manage complex assets above and below ground with far higher precision.
The company will deploy state-of-the-art 3D GPR systems and high‑precision LiDAR sensors to detect, map and model underground utilities and create high‑resolution 3D subsurface maps. This supports safer construction, faster project execution and better risk management for brownfield airport upgrades.
Strategic significance
The initiative extends Genesys’s 3D mapping leadership, building on its experience in large‑scale infrastructure digitisation projects in India and Saudi Arabia. It aligns with growing infrastructure spending and the need for accurate digital twins to plan, execute and monitor complex projects.
The project also reinforces India’s capabilities in high-end geospatial technology at a time when subsurface mapping is becoming critical for urban expansion, safety compliance and climate‑resilient infrastructure.
