Ceremony Summary
Bengaluru City University (BCU) is holding its fourth annual convocation today at Jnana Jyothi Auditorium, Central College campus.
The function is presided over by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, while the convocation address is delivered by Justice P.B. Bajanthri of Patna High Court.
The Higher Education Minister M.C. Sudhakar is also attending, along with the university officials.
Scholarly Achievements
A total of 7,285 postgraduate and 32,486 undergraduate students are graduating.
Nine Ph.D. graduates are receiving their doctorates.
64 students will be given gold medals, rank certificates, and monetary prizes for merit in academic work.
Distinguished Alumni
Anusha S. of MSc Chemistry is being awarded five gold medals, the highest among all the award winners.
Priya Bhalachandra, 52 and an MA French graduate, is to receive two gold medals.
Lichumthung Kikon from Nagaland, a graduate in Master of Hotel Management, is also receiving two gold medals.
University's Vision
Acting Vice Chancellor K.R. Jalaja is presenting a report on BCU performance and future plans.
