Harmanpreet's Blitz Powers Mumbai Indians to 149/7 in WPL Clash

Mumbai Indians Women posted a competitive 149/7 in their 20 overs against their opponents Delhi Capital in the Women's Premier League. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur led the charge with a blistering 66 off just 44 balls, striking nine boundaries and two sixes. Nat Sciver-Brunt provided valuable support with 30 off 28 balls, helping stabilize the innings after early wickets.

 

Marizanne Kapp was the standout bowler, claiming 2/11 in her four overs, dismantling the top order with precision. Nallapureddy Charani proved expensive but picked up two crucial scalps. Jess Jonassen also contributed with 2 crucial wickets from the middle order of the Mumbai Indians.

 

Despite a shaky start, late fireworks from Amanjot Kaur (14* off 7) and Sanskrithi Gupta (8* off 5) helped Mumbai reach a fighting total. With a decent total on the board, Mumbai will now look to their bowlers to defend 149 in 20 overs and secure victory.
