India’s Hero MotoCorp has officially entered the Spanish market through a partnership with Noria Motos. The company plans to establish over 30 sales and service outlets initially, expanding their global reach across 50 markets, leveraging the launch of their electric scooter VIDA Z to capture European demand.
Hero MotoCorp, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has taken a significant step in its global expansion by entering Spain through a commercial agreement with Noria Motos SLU, a subsidiary of the Onex Group. This move marks the company’s formal debut in one of Europe’s key markets.
The entry into Spain is part of Hero MotoCorp’s ambitious roadmap to expand operations across Europe, including planned launches in the UK, France, and Germany by mid-2025. The company plans to initially set up over 30 sales and service centers in major Spanish cities, ramping up to more than 50 outlets over time.
The launch in Spain will be spearheaded by the VIDA Z electric scooter, specifically developed to cater to global consumers with versatile electric drivetrain technology and modular battery options ranging from 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh. Complementing this, Hero MotoCorp has recently revealed new models such as the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, and Karizma XMR 250 targeting premium internal combustion engine (ICE) enthusiasts.
Hero’s Executive Chairman, Pawan Munjal, highlighted how the company leverages its innovation, wide product portfolio, and manufacturing excellence to offer high-quality, affordable personal mobility solutions globally. The addition of Spain and other European markets reflects Hero’s vision to “Innovate and Manufacture in India for the world,” aligning with its sustainability and growth objectives.
Hero MotoCorp also benefits from established R&D centers in India and Germany, enhancing its ability to tailor products to regional market requirements. The collaboration with local distributors like Noria Motos (Spain), GD France, MotoGB UK, and Pelpi International in Italy is central to this expansion strategy.
