In a landmark initiative aimed at empowering differently-abled athletes, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has partnered with the SBI Foundation to launch the Para-Athlete Sports Scholarship Program. Formally unveiled on August 14, 2025, the program will support 100 para-athletes across India with a monthly stipend of Rs 40,000 each, along with access to scientific training and performance analytics.
