India’s AI Impact Summit 2026 will position the country as a global leader in inclusive and responsible AI, with a focus on accessible technology, collaborative innovation, and actionable outcomes for public good.

India is set to host the landmark AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi from February 16–20, marking the first time a major global AI summit will be held in the Global South. The event will spotlight India’s vision for accessible, inclusive, and responsible AI, positioning the nation as a leader in shaping the future of artificial intelligence for public good and global cooperation.

Key Highlights:

Global South Leadership: India’s hosting of the AI Impact Summit 2026 signals a shift toward more inclusive and representative global AI dialogue, with a focus on empowering developing nations and ensuring diverse perspectives shape AI policy and innovation.
Thematic Chakras: The summit will center on seven thematic pillars, or ‘Chakras’: Human Capital, Inclusion, Safe and Trusted AI, Resilience, Innovation and Efficiency, Democratizing AI, and AI for Economic Development and Social Good. These themes address AI safety, data governance, transparency, and human-centered development.
Flagship Initiatives: The event will feature initiatives such as AI Pitch Fest (UDAAN), showcasing high-potential startups from across India and the globe, with a special emphasis on women leaders and differently-abled changemakers. Other programs include Global Innovation Challenges and collaborative research symposia.
Strategic MoUs: The summit will witness the signing of multiple Memorandums of Understanding, including partnerships between STPI and IIIT Allahabad, STPI and C-DAC Pune, and others, aimed at boosting collaborative research, assistive technology innovation, and inclusive employment opportunities.
People, Planet, Progress: Anchored by the guiding principles of People, Planet, and Progress, the summit will drive actionable recommendations for long-term AI governance, focusing on harnessing AI for healthcare, education, agriculture, climate resilience, and inclusive infrastructure.
