The investigation stems from FIRs filed by hundreds of disgruntled buyers alleging diversion of funds collected under false promises related to Jaypee’s real estate projects such as Jaypee Wishtown and Jaypee Greens.
Search operations were conducted across 15 locations in Delhi NCR and Mumbai, encompassing properties connected to Jaypee Associates Limited, Gaursons, Gulshan, Mahagun, and Suraksha Realty. Officials seized ₹1.7 crore in cash, along with financial documents and digital evidence that trace the illegal siphoning and diversion of funds.
The ED’s probe highlights a well-orchestrated scheme to induce investments under the pretext of project allotments, coupled with irregularities in financial management leading to delays and loss for homebuyers.
