India's Olympic Dream Takes Shape: New Committee to Fuel the Fire With Upgraded NSF Norms

The Indian sports ministry has set up a six-person committee to review the norms for granting financial aid to National Sports Federations (NSFs). This follows as India makes an attempt to host the 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The committee's establishment comes after India recently submitted a formal 'Letter of Intent' to the International Olympic Committee's Future Host Commission, indicating interest in hosting the 2036 Games. The revision of norms of assistance is likely to bolster India's sporting infrastructure and capacity, as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of hosting the Olympics in India.
