The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has included infrastructure services as compulsory components in Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for PMAY-Urban 2.0 schemes. This aims at filling past shortcomings where residential units were categorized as "completed" without infra amenities such as roads, water supply, and power. DPRs are required to include deadlines for infrastructure completion and handing-over plans by the states. The last tranche of central help will be paid only after taking completion certificates from both housing as well as concomitant infrastructure. The plan also focuses on social amenities including schools, hospitals, and open spaces to the end of development of cities on a holistic note.
