RITES Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI), a subsidiary of Coal India, to jointly pursue consultancy assignments and project proposals in mining and renewable energy sectors.

Key highlights of the partnership:

- The collaboration aims to tap into opportunities across coal mining, solar and wind energy, and allied infrastructure

- RITES will contribute its global expertise in transport logistics, infrastructure planning, and market intelligence

- CMPDI brings technical depth in resource planning, mine design, and feasibility studies

- The alliance will jointly submit proposals for domestic and international projects, including evacuation systems and capacity-building programs

- Focus areas include sustainable mining operations, renewable energy integration, and workforce skill enhancement
