In a historic occasion in the season opener of IPL 2025 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Sunil Narine achieved the distinction of becoming the first IPL player to hit 100 sixes and bag 150 wickets for a single franchise. West Indian all-rounder achieved this milestone when he smashed a 44 off just 26 deliveries while assisting KKR in reaching a challenging total of 175. Narine's firebrand knock contained five fours and three sixes, the third six being his 100th for KKR. Only Narine, Andre Russell, and Nitish Rana are players from KKR to have smashed 100 or more sixes in the IPL. Narine's double milestone of 100 sixes and 150 wickets for one franchise is the league's record, establishing him as a KKR legend since his arrival with the side in 2012.
