IRCON Secures ₹1,068 Crore EPC Contract for Ganga Rail Bridge Project

IRCON International Limited won a ₹1,068.34 crore EPC order from East Central Railway to build a significant railway bridge over the River Ganga. The project will improve rail connectivity in Bihar by strengthening freight and passenger movement.
1. Project Overview and Scope
It will consist of two 32.086-meter and thirty-three 122.0-meter Open Web Steel Girders.
It will be double-line track substructure and single-line track superstructure.
The bridge will be built between Bikramshila and Katareah stations as part of a new rail line project.

IRCON has been assigned to execute the entire work scope within 1,460 days (about four years).
The project is as part of Indian Railways' ongoing infra development program, with the goal of enhancing regional connectivity.
