John Abraham fans will have to wait a little longer to watch the actor in his new thriller, "The Diplomat." Initially planned for release on March 7, 2025, the film has been postponed to March 14, coinciding with the Holi weekend.
The delay was made known through social media, with new posters and the slogan, "The wait gets longer, but his impact only grows stronger". Shivam Nair directs, and the film is based on real events with Abraham playing the role of J.P. Singh, an Indian diplomat on a mission to free a young Indian woman from an arranged marriage in Pakistan.
"The Diplomat" is a departure from Abraham's usual action-hero persona, and he plays the role of a more cerebral and strategic avatar. The film features a starry cast in Sadia Khateeb, Sharib Hashmi, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra.
The film will release theatrically before it becomes available on Netflix, although the OTT release date has not been confirmed yet.
