Jurassic Roars in Dolby: India’s First Dolby Cinema Debuts in Pune with ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’

Dolby Laboratories has officially launched India’s first Dolby Cinema at City Pride Multiplex, Kharadi, Pune, on July 3, 2025, ushering in a new era of immersive movie experiences. The state-of-the-art auditorium opens to the public on July 4 with the premiere of “Jurassic World Rebirth”, offering moviegoers a cinematic spectacle powered by Dolby Vision dual 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos 60-speaker surround sound.

 

The 310-seater theatre features a curved wall-to-wall-to-ceiling screen, dynamic lighting, and premium recliner seating with unobstructed sightlines. Designed to eliminate distractions, the venue promises a deeply immersive experience whether you're watching in 2D or 3D. Four seating categories—3D Vision Classic, XL, Prime, and Sofa—cater to varied preferences.

 

This is the first of six Dolby Cinemas planned across India, with upcoming locations in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Trichy, Kochi, and Ulikkal. The launch places Pune on the global Dolby Cinema map alongside cities like London, Tokyo, and New York.
