Fresh Snowfall and Rain Bring Chill and Cheer to Kashmir
The upper reaches of Kashmir, including popular destinations like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Razdan Top, and Doodhpathri, received light snowfall on November 5, marking one of the earliest winter spells this season. The Meteorological Department confirmed that the snowfall was moderate but widespread, turning the hills white and drawing tourists in large numbers.
In the plains, including Srinagar and surrounding areas, gusty winds swept through the afternoon, followed by evening showers that brought a noticeable drop in temperature. The weather department has forecast dry conditions from November 6 onward, offering a brief respite before the next wet spell.
