According to the LinkedIn Talent Insights report released at the Skill Kerala Global Summit 2025, the state has recorded a 172 percent surge in its professional talent pool over the past five years. - Over 9,800 professionals returned to Kerala from the UAE in five years, accounting for 52 percent of global returnees
- Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom contributed over 1,600 returnees each, followed by Qatar (1,400) and the United States (1,200)
- Domestic migration brought back 7,700 professionals from Karnataka, 4,900 from Tamil Nadu, 2,400 from Maharashtra, 1,000 from Telangana, and 800 from Haryana
- Kerala’s professional talent pool grew 172 percent, placing it ninth among Indian states
- Nearly 40 percent of the workforce is concentrated in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Kozhikode
