KL Rahul produced a sensational unbeaten century, smashing 112 runs off just 65 balls, to propel Delhi Capitals to a commanding total of 199/3 in their 20 overs. Batting first, Rahul anchored the innings with a flurry of boundaries, hitting 14 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 172.31, guiding his team to a formidable score.
Delhi lost Faf du Plessis early for 5, but Rahul found support from Abishek Porel, who contributed a quickfire 30 off 19 balls, and Axar Patel, who hammered 25 from 16 deliveries. Tristan Stubbs added an unbeaten 21 to finish the innings strongly alongside Rahul.
Among the bowlers, Mohammed Siraj stood out with figures of 4-0-37-1, while Arshad Khan and Prasidh Krishna also picked up a wicket each. Ravichandran Sai Kishore was economical, conceding just 17 runs in his four overs but remained wicketless.
With a target of 200 set, the pressure now shifts to the opposition batters in what promises to be a high-octane chase. Delhi Capitals will be confident after this dominant batting display, thanks largely to Rahul’s masterclass at the crease.
