India secured a spine-tingling four-wicket victory against Australia in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final due to a transformation innings by Virat Kohli. Kohli scored 84 runs despite being dropped by Glenn Maxwell and led India past the total of the Australian team, 264. His innings together with some notable efforts by Shreyas Iyer (45) and KL Rahul (42*) took India into the final.
Mohammed Shami led the bowling with 3-48, restricting Australia's scoring. The top run-scorers for Australia were Steve Smith (73) and Alex Carey (61). India will face either South Africa or New Zealand in Sunday's final.
This win is India's third consecutive Champions Trophy final.
