Kunal Kohli's Latest Rom-Com Fails to Impress

Kunal Kohli's new romantic comedy "Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story," starring debutants Kaveri Kapur and Vardhaan Puri, released on Disney+ Hotstar on February 11, 2025. Despite Kohli's claims of it being "cuter" than his previous hits "Hum Tum" and "Fanaa," the film has received largely negative reviews. Critics and audiences have panned the movie for its superficial storytelling, lack of originality, and weak performances. The film, which follows the love story of Bobby and Rishi, has been criticized for its rushed plot, outdated tropes, and failure to capture the essence of Gen Z relationships. This disappointing reception marks a setback for Kohli's attempt to revive the Bollywood rom-com genre.
