Indian Premier League 2025 has witnessed some of cricket's most experienced stars excelling once again, showing age doesn't matter. From legendary captains to power-packed all-rounders, here's a rundown of the five oldest players who are shining bright on the IPL platform this season.

MS Dhoni
At 43 years and 300 days, MS Dhoni is the oldest player in IPL 2025. The Chennai Super Kings icon extended his career for an 18th season, retained by CSK for ₹4 crore. Even after CSK's early exit, Dhoni made headlines by coming back as captain following Ruturaj Gaikwad's injury and setting the record for the oldest player to get the Player of the Match award in IPL history.

Faf du Plessis
The second-oldest, Faf du Plessis, is 40 years and 294 days old. Now Delhi Capitals' vice-captain, the South African veteran sat out a few games because of injury but continues to be an integral part of the team.

Ravichandran Ashwin
Ashwin, at 38 years and 228 days, is the third-oldest. Returning to CSK in the 2025 mega-auction, the seasoned off-spinner's form has come under question, and there are doubts about his future in the league.

Rohit Sharma
The Mumbai Indians veteran, who is 38 years and 3 days old, is the fourth-oldest. As an Impact Player, Rohit has scored vital runs, recently going past 6000 runs for MI and scoring three half-centuries this season.

Moeen Ali
Completing the list is Moeen Ali, who is 37 years and 319 days old. The England all-rounder, currently with Kolkata Knight Riders, has endured a tough season as KKR struggle to find a playoff position.
