Major Defence Deal Announced

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a leading defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has received a significant order for the supply of Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs) valued at ₹8.09 billion. The contract, awarded by the Ministry of Defence, is part of India’s ongoing push to modernize its armoured warfare capabilities and reduce reliance on foreign defence imports.

 

This procurement aligns with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and is expected to enhance the firepower of India’s T-90 main battle tanks, which rely on precision-guided missile systems like the Invar ATGM.
