Larsen & Toubro (L&T), India’s engineering and construction giant, has announced a fresh round of large contract wins valued between ₹25 billion and ₹50 billion for its Buildings & Factories (B&F) business. These orders, classified as “large” by L&T, underscore the company’s continued dominance in the infrastructure and construction sector, both in India and internationally.
Key Highlights:
Major Order Wins: L&T’s B&F vertical has secured significant contracts from reputed developers, including the Brigade Group, to construct residential and commercial towers in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and Bangalore. These include the company’s largest-ever residential project from a private customer, with all projects to be executed on a design-and-build basis within stringent timelines.
Project Scope: The projects span ultra-luxury high-rise towers in Mumbai (up to 273 meters tall), luxury towers in Bangalore (14 towers, up to 28 floors), and 25 luxury towers in Chennai, all reflecting L&T’s expertise in complex, large-scale developments.
International and Cross-Sector Reach: In addition to Indian contracts, L&T has secured major orders in the Middle East, including power transmission, floating solar power plants, and infrastructure projects such as cable-stayed bridges over the Brahmaputra River, substations in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and clean energy utilities for a luxury destination in Saudi Arabia.
Financial Performance: These contract wins come on the back of strong quarterly results, with L&T reporting a 13.96% increase in consolidated net profit and a 17.31% jump in revenue in Q3 FY25, reinforcing its robust order book and growth trajectory.
L&T’s latest contracts reaffirm its leadership in delivering complex, high-value projects across the buildings, factories, and infrastructure landscape.
